Our Home
Aldringham Court is a unique ‘art nouveau’ building set in three acres of well maintained gardens and woodland. Surrounded by spectacular rhododendron bushes, the grounds abound in wildlife with doves, pheasants and even muntjacs. The spacious accommodation includes a beautiful conservatory overlooking the woodland setting, dining room and a quiet reading room. The luxury bedrooms, many of which are en-suite and have garden views with a terrace, have the added security of a nursecall system. All rooms are fully furnished but we welcome as little or as much of your own furniture as you wish.
Location
The home is situated in a beautiful location near Aldeburgh, home of Benjamin Britten and the famous Aldeburgh Music Festival. It is only two miles from the wonderful Suffolk Heritage Coast where residents regularly go for outings. Although ideal for residents wishing a quiet, peaceful location, the Home also encourages participation with the local community and organises an annual Summer Fete and Christmas Sherry Party.
Care Staff
Our care staff are trained to the highest standards and chosen not only for their skills, but also for their warmth, friendliness and caring attitude. They are on hand around the clock to provide professional care that respects the rights and dignity of the individual.
Facilities
We regularly assess each resident so that we can be sure their needs are met and supply specialised equipment if required. An optician, dentist, hairdresser, chiropodist, physiotherapist and an aromatherapist visit regularly as well as the local clergy. Our catering staff provide delicious meals and snacks throughout the day for residents and their guests, as well as special dishes for those with particular dietary requirements.
Activities
Aldringham Court has the benefit of an Activities Coordinator with whom Residents can arrange to take part in as many, or as few, activities as they wish. Our activity leaflet gives more information about what is on offer.
Individual Care
We strongly believe that no matter what level of care is required, everyone deserves the same attention and has the same right to live life to the full. We aim to make our residents’ lives enjoyable and satisfying, enabling them to meet new friends and keep in touch with existing ones. Family and friends are always welcome at Aldringham Court and we value their involvement in our resident’s care. Above all, we promote individual choice in a caring environment that is free from stress or worry.
