Our Home
Barking Hall was opened in 1988 and can provide the very best in either nursing or residential care. The original hall has been tastefully extended with a number of new bedrooms and day areas for residents. The lounges are decorated in an elegant period style allowing residents to relax in absolute comfort or entertain their friends and family. All our bedrooms are en-suite with a telephone and television point provided. Although rooms are fully furnished, we encourage residents to bring with them items of furniture and personal possessions so that their room can be a true 'home from home'.
Location
Barking Hall is situated in the Suffolk village of Barking, less than a mile from Needham Market. The Home enjoys strong links with the local community and benefits from the amenities available through use of its own mini-bus. Barking Hall enjoys a quiet location overlooking fields, with the parish church a pleasant distant view. The gardens incorporate a covered walkway and an enclosed courtyard garden, complete with water feature and beautiful shrubs, where residents can enjoy peace and tranquillity in the security of this delightful home.
Care Staff
Our care staff are trained to the highest standards and chosen not only for their skills, but also for their warmth, friendliness and caring attitude. They are on hand around the clock to provide professional care that respects the rights and dignity of the individual.
Facilities
We regularly assess each resident so that we can be sure their needs are met and supply specialised equipment if required. An optician and chiropodist visit by appointment, and the in-house hairdressing salon provides all the usual services plus manicures and hand massages. Our catering staff provides delicious meals and snacks throughout the day, as well as special dishes for those with particular dietary requirements.
Activities
Barking Hall has the benefit of an Activities Coordinator with whom Residents can arrange to take part in as many, or as few, activities as they wish. Our activity leaflet gives more information about what is on offer.
