Our Home
Foxgrove is widely regarded as one of Felixstowe’s finest care homes. The warm friendly atmosphere and the elegant lounge and dining room combine to create a charming environment for our residents. All our comfortable and generously-proportioned bedrooms are en-suite, decorated to an exceptionally high standard, and have a telephone and television point provided. Whilst they are all fully furnished we encourage residents to bring with them their own items of furniture and personal effects so that their room can become truly their own.
Location
Standing in tree-lined grounds of nearly two acres, Foxgrove enjoys a delightful setting in the heart of Old Felixstowe. This handsome Victorian mansion stands uniquely positioned for access to all local facilities, with a post office and general store in the immediate vicinity. The nearby cliffs and town centre provide a perfect setting for walks or relaxation although residents are happy to enjoy the beautifully maintained gardens.
Care Staff
Our care staff are trained to the highest standards and chosen not only for their skills but also for their warmth, friendliness and caring attitude. They are on hand around the clock to provide professional care that respects the rights and dignity of the individual.
Facilities
We regularly assess each resident so that we can be sure their needs are met and supply specialised equipment if required. An optician, dentist, hairdresser and chiropodist visit by appointment providing all the usual services plus manicures and hand massages. Our catering staff provides delicious meals and snacks throughout the day, as well as special dishes for those with particular dietary requirements.
Activities
Foxgrove has the benefit of an Activities Co-ordinator with whom Residents can arrange to take part in as many, or as few, activities as they wish. Our activity leaflet gives more information about what is on offer.
Individual Care
We strongly believe that no matter what level of care is required, everyone deserves the same attention and has the same right to live life to the full. We aim to make our residents’ lives enjoyable and satisfying, enabling them to meet new friends and keep in touch with existing ones. Family and friends are always welcome at Foxgrove and we value their involvement in our resident’s care. Above all, we promote individual choice in a caring environment that is free from stress or worry.
