PASSPORT TO CARE

'Passport to Care', which can be used in all adult care settings, is  a workbook and a personal development tool. It demonstrates knowledge and competencies, clearly maps into an NVQ in Health & Social Care and is aligned to GSCC Codes of Conduct. A significant advantage of 'Passport to Care' is that new staff arriving with experience and/or qualifications only need complete the first modules that contain all the mandatory workplace training.

This straightforward but robust induction programme gives care staff the confidence to go on and achieve NVQ level 2 qualifications and above. It has also been shown to greatly improve staff retention.

'Passport to Care' was designed by an RGN and has been updated by the Healthcare Homes training team to offer a cost-effective way to ensure your staff meet the Common Induction Standards, within the statutory 12 weeks.

The easy-to-use manuals follow a logical sequence and will ensure employees and employers are totally compliant with the Common Induction Standards

On completion, care staff receive a ‘Passport to Care’ certificate and badge.

A 'Managers Manual', which accompanies the main booklet, follows a logical order, tracking 'Passport to Care'. Each module contains all the supporting knowledge required along with sample answers to the workbook questions.

Our ‘Passport to Care’ programme will ensure you demonstrate to your staff that they are receiving induction training to the national training standard. It provides evidence for CSCI of all aspects of your staff induction.

Features include:

  • Jargon-free
  • Colour coded work books providing easy navigation
  • Evidenced learning which can be easily reviewed
  • All the answers you will need in the 'Managers Manual'
  • Clear mapping to an NVQ qualification
