Our Home
At The White House we provide residential care on a long term or short term basis and offer day care services. The White House has lovely landscaped gardens with a number of mature ornamental trees, shrubs and other seasonal planting. Within the Home there are spacious single or double bedrooms, all of which are decorated to a high standard and exceptionally well furnished. We encourage our residents to bring items of their own furniture and possessions to complement those already provided and to help make their room an individual retreat.
Location
The White House is located within a quiet residential area of Beccles where its position ensures peace and privacy. The Home is a beautiful period house with large windows and interesting architectural details. Its elegant and airy reception rooms are particularly welcoming, and you will find that the interior decoration has been carried out in sympathy with the building’s character. One of most stunning features of the Home is the entrance which is dominated by beautiful mature trees.
Care Staff
Our care staff are trained to the highest standards and chosen not only for their skills but also for their warmth, friendliness and caring attitude. They are on hand around the clock to provide professional care that respects the rights and dignity of the individual.
Facilities
We regularly assess each resident so that we can be sure their needs are met and supply specialised equipment if required. An optician, dentist and chiropodist visit by appointment, and the in-house hairdressing salon provides all the usual services plus manicures and hand massages. Our catering staff provide delicious meals and snacks throughout the day, as well as special dishes for those with particular dietary requirements.
Activities
The White House has the benefit of an Activities Co-ordinator with whom residents can take part in as many or as few activities as they like. Our Activities leaflet gives more information about what is on offer.
Individual Care
We strongly believe that no matter what level of care is required, everyone deserves the same attention and has the same right to live life to the full. We aim to make our residents’ lives enjoyable and satisfying, enabling them to meet new friends and keep in touch with existing ones. Family and friends are always welcome at The White House and we value their involvement in our resident’s care. Above all, we promote individual choice in a caring environment that is free from stress or worry.
