Our Home
Uvedale Hall is one of the finest care homes in Suffolk, offering an unparalleled range of facilities and services in idyllic surroundings. This beautiful Georgian home boasts three elegant lounges, a south-facing conservatory and a magnificent staircase, winding round a sparkling chandelier. Our single bedrooms are all en-suite, tastefully decorated and provide television and telephone points. Whilst they are all fully furnished, we encourage our residents to bring items of their own furniture and possessions with them so that their room can become truly their own.
Location
Named after the famous botanist, Robert Uvedale, Uvedale Hall lies in the Gipping Valley in the pretty Suffolk town of Needham Market. Close to Stowmarket and Ipswich, the home also has Needham Lake nearby, a lovely walk for the more energetic resident. Whilst Robert Uvedale was renowned for propagating the Cedar of Lebanon tree, it is the hundred year old geranium plant in the resident’s conservatory that attracts everyone today. Well kept gardens, including a central fountain, are also available for our residents to enjoy.
Care Staff
Our care staff are trained to the highest standards and chosen not only for their skills but also for their warmth, friendliness and caring attitude. They are on hand around the clock to provide professional care that respects the rights and dignity of the individual.
Facilities
We regularly assess each resident so that we can be sure their needs are met and supply specialised equipment if required. An optician, dentist, and chiropodist visit by appointment, and the in-house hairdressing salon provides all the usual services plus manicures and hand massages. Our catering staff provides delicious meals and snacks throughout the day, as well as special dishes for those with particular dietary requirements.
Activities
Uvedale Hall has the benefit of an Activities Coordinator with whom Residents can arrange to take part in as many, or as few, activities as they wish. Our activity leaflet gives more information about what is on offer.
