Dog owners in and around Dereham, Fakenham, Swaffham and beyond are invited to ‘parade their pooch’ at a special charity dog show being held at Bilney Hall residential home in East Bilney.
On Saturday 3rd June from 2:00pm, all are invited to attend the special event being held in aid of the home’s chosen charity for 2017, Norfolk Lowland Search and Rescue (NORLSAR).
Entertainment, stalls and refreshments will be available along with the dog show, which will feature a number of categories to enter. Rosettes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded to winning dogs in the novelty categories including ‘waggiest tail’, ‘most handsome dog’ and ‘Dog most like their owner’.
NORLSAR will also be bringing along some of its dogs in training and will give information on the voluntary search and rescue services they offer across the county.
The Dog Show will run from 2pm – 4pm; entry to the competition is £2 per category or £5 for three categories. Spectators and guests are welcome to watch the spectacle and visit the stalls, free of charge.
Home Manager Jenny Daynes said “We’re all really looking forward to our dog show, which is set to be a fantastic afternoon for our residents, friends and the community. Many of our residents love it when four-legged friends visit our home, and so the idea of hosting our own dog show was very well received by everyone!
“I hope that lots of local people bring along their dogs for us to meet and to help us raise funds for such an important charity.”
