The WRAD is a worldwide music event organised in conjunction with the Purple Angel dementia awareness campaign, and supported by the friends and relatives of the residents and care team at Ashley Gardens.

It encourages venues across the world, from care homes to concert halls, to host live music for the benefit of anyone living with dementia.

Music is known to benefit many who enjoy it, and is especially stimulating for people living with dementia. Music is known to; activate certain regions of the brain involved in movement, planning, attention, learning and memory; reduce feelings of anxiety and improve mood; help people recall memories.

Improved concentration levels allow people with dementia to engage in a way they may not have done for a long time.

Everyone is very welcome.
