Healthcare Homes celebrates fifth year in national top 20 awards

23rd March 2020

The Healthcare Homes Group is proudly announcing that it has been named in the top 20 large care home providers by independent care home review website, carehome.co.uk.

The carehome.co.uk Top 20 Care Home Awards 2020 highlight the Top 20 Care Home Groups in the UK, based on individual care home and group review scores, as submitted by members of the public. The Healthcare Homes Group has been named in the awards every year since 2016.

The group currently has a score of 9.5 out of 10, which is calculated by looking at the scores received by the 37 homes within the group. Residents and their friends or relatives are asked to provide comments and feedback, plus an overall score, based on their experiences of the home.

Founded in 2005, Healthcare Homes group of businesses has 45 quality residential care and nursing homes located throughout East Anglia and across the south of England, which are registered for over 2,200 residents. In addition, its Manorcourt Homecare division has 12 homecare branch locations, which undertake more than 1.5 million visits per annum to people requiring home-based support and care services, including live-in care.

The group’s portfolio was recently extended with the acquisitions of six care homes from the Four Seasons Health Care Group and two Norfolk-based nursing homes from Saxlingham Hall Nursing Home Ltd in March.

With a strong focus on bespoke, person-centred care, the group’s homes and staff are regularly recognised for the quality of their care, most recently at the Norfolk Care Awards where the group received two accolades.  Norfolk-based home, Meadow House, which is rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission, was also named in carehome.co.uk’s Top 20 of care homes in the East of England.

Operations Director (Care Homes) Anthony Beorby confirms, “Our staff work tirelessly to provide compassionate, person-centred care, so we are always delighted to receive recognition for these efforts.  What makes the Top 20 awards so important to us however, is the fact that they are based on independent feedback from the people who have direct experiences of our services.

“Whether we’re caring for someone in their own home through our Manorcourt Care Division, or in one of our residential settings, we’re privileged to be able to support them.”
