Home Close organises painted pebble treasure hunt for local community14th September 2020
Home Close nursing home in Fulbourn, Cambridgeshire, has been enjoying a treasure hunt with a difference, as part of its resident’s activities programme.
The residents at the home, which provides a range of high quality residential and nursing care for up to 72 people, enjoyed painting an array of pebbles in lovely bright shades which, once painted, were placed in secret spots in and around Fulbourn by members of staff. The team has then encouraged families to find as many as possible, take and share photos of the finds, and then re-hide them for others to spot.
Patricia Burton for Home Close said; “Our painted pebbles project has been a wonderful way for us to get creative in the home, as well as keep residents connected with the Fulbourn community while the COVID restrictions continue to be in place.
“We’ve already received photos of several boys and girls who have been delighted to find our colourful pebbles, and we hope these finds give people a smile when they find them. We love to see the photos of our pebbles being discovered – it really gives residents a smile – and so we encourage people to continue looking for and sharing any finds on our Facebook page so we can show our residents.”
