Following the latest Government guidance for visits to care homes published on 15th December we have updated our visiting policy. Full details of local arrangements should always be obtained direct from your local home manager. A generalised summary appears below:
Under the revised Government guidance, it will be possible to register up to 3 constant visitors in addition to an essential care giver. However, most of our homes will not be able to safely accept more the 2 visitors on any one visit. Please check at time of booking.
Testing, wearing of PPE and maintaining a minimum 2 metre social distance still apply and visits should be booked in advance.
At the discretion of the home manager, it may be possible for lateral flow testing to be completed remotely prior to any visit. Please speak to the home manager for further details.
For visits outside of the care home we would ask that you follow government guidance by:
Residents will be asked to self-isolate following a hospital stay or following an out-of-home visit determined to be high risk following an individual risk assessment.
Visits may have to be cancelled at short notice should the Covid status of a home change, or if a home is instructed to by local health officials in response to community levels of infection.
We regret very much that visiting restrictions continue, especially at this important time of the year. We are enormously grateful for the forbearance, understanding and support that we have received and continue to receive from the families and friends of all of our residents.
