Trio of awards for our Suffolk homes

Healthcare Homes' Suffolk homes scooped three top awards at the Suffolk Association of Independent Care Providers' Celebration Ball at the weekend.

Congratulations go to Head Housekeeper from Foxgrove and Maynell House in Felixstowe Iwona Arbudzinska who won the award for Stepping up in the Face of Adversity.

The team at Uvedale Hall in Needham Market were highly commended for Stepping up in the Face of Adversity and Home Manager Naomi Bender from Handford House in Ipswich was highly commended for Going Above and Beyond in Keeping Spirits High.

Iwona has worked at Foxgrove and Maynell House for 14 years and her entry praised her for always being cheerful, singing and helping out in lots of little ways which mean a lot to the residents.

"Iwona always remembers the residents little ways, she will go out of her way to pick up a residents favourite magazine, flowers for resident if they are down or just sitting and chatting with a cup of tea and biscuits."

Foxgrove is rated as Outstanding by the CQC and sister home Maynell House is rated Good.

At Uvedale Hall every member of the team showed dedication and stepped up in the face of adversity to ensure residents continued to receive the best quality care throughout the pandemic and beyond – particularly at the end of life. Uvedale is rated as Good by the CQC and has a carehome.co.uk rating of 9.7 out of 10

Naomi Bender has worked at Handford House in Ipswich – rated Good by CQC - for the last five years as Deputy Manager and has just been made Home Manager, she takes being a role model to a whole new level.
