FAQs

What supervision and training does your care team receive?

Our care team members undergo a week-long induction program that covers several subject areas such as medication, moving and positioning, infection control, food hygiene, first aid, dementia, safeguarding, and fire safety.

During their training, new carers are continually assessed to ensure their competence. Once the training is complete, new carers work alongside experienced carers for shadow shifts to gain confidence working in the community. To keep the skills of our care team members up-to-date, we provide annual training updates.

We believe in providing excellent supervision and support to our community care staff. Therefore, each carer has a one-to-one supervision session every six months, along with a competency-based assessment where a senior team member observes them working in the community.

Additionally, every carer receives an annual appraisal, and regular team meetings are held to ensure important information is shared.
