We believe that our team of loyal and dedicated staff, many of whom have been with us for years, is what makes us stand out. Our team works closely together and every member is fully committed to ensuring our residents all receive the highest standard of care so they can enjoy living life to its fullest potential.
We offer the highest level of dementia care, and features throughout the home, such as personalised murals, the sensory garden and the reminiscence room, ensure our residents have an enhanced quality of life.
Amongst our range of well-equipped areas and facilities, there’s always space for calm and relaxation, or for relishing in interests and pursuits.
Our 1940s Reminiscence Room offers residents with dementia the perfect sanctuary to experience and find comfort in nostalgia, whilst the beautiful, picturesque gardens, bordered by flower beds and mature trees, offer an al fresco setting to enjoy anything from taking exercise to taking tea.
Daily activities and entertainment are a core part of our quality care at Sandown Park. We pride ourselves on offering a diverse, enriching range of weekly activities and entertainment enabling residents to continue to relish in their favourite hobbies and pastimes or to try out something entirely new.
We involve residents in the planning of our weekly activities timetables and offer one-to-one bespoke and tailored opportunities as requested. We’re also passionate about keeping our homes and residents at the heart of the local community, working closely with community groups, schools and other community connections to keep residents involved in local activities.
Some of our regular activities include:
- Local shopping trips
- Trips to local attractions such as Windsor Castle
- 1940s Reminiscence Room
- Arts & crafts
- Pet therapy
- Sensory Activity
- Outside entertainers
- Activities with the local community
Dining is an essential part of the care package we provide to our residents, not only from a general health and wellbeing perspective, but we believe residents should be able to enjoy eating what they want, when they want.
Our chefs and nutritional leads fully assess all dietary needs, including likes and dislikes, allergies and special diets, through to preferred portion sizes and mealtimes. Our catering team prides itself on producing food of the highest quality, using local suppliers to create fresh, homemade dishes each day.
Located just a short distance from Windsor Castle and The Windsor Great Park, Sandown Park care home is within easy reach of local shops and is close to major road routes the M4 and M25 Motorways and Heathrow.
Situated near the River Thames and served by good public transport links, the home is ideally situated for visiting and enjoying family days out. Local attractions include the gardens at Virginia Waters, Savill Garden and the Magna Carta tea rooms at Runnymede, the historic town of Eton and the racecourses at Ascot and Windsor.
The health and wellness of our residents is very important and we work closely in partnership with local health and wellness professionals to ensure every resident is able to lead a full and enriched life. We welcome visiting professionals such as GPs, chiropodists, opticians and can arrange visits to other professionals if and when it may be required.
Our bedrooms can be personalised to make them a real home-from-home, and residents are able to enjoy a variety of lounge areas, dining rooms and well-kept gardens where residents can entertain family and friends or just sit in quiet contemplation.
All our 95 bedrooms have en-suite facilities and are provided ready-furnished with the essentials for instant comfort, and we happily encourage our residents to bring their own treasured furnishings and belongings if they would like to do so. Lifts provide access to the residents’ rooms which are arranged over three floors.
