Sandown Park is a modern purpose built nursing home, tastefully decorated, providing a warm, friendly environment for its residents.
It is registered with the Care Quality Commission and is in easy reach of local shops, major road routes M4, M25 and Heathrow. The home is designed to provide a safe and secure environment. Lifts provide access to the residents rooms which are arranged over three floors. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities and are equipped with television points. Residents are very welcome to bring personal possessions, such as a favourite table, pictures, a chair and ornaments.
There are a variety of lounge areas, some with TV’s where residents can entertain family and friends or just sit in quiet contemplation. There is also a secure garden.
Sandown Park is a short distance from Windsor Castle and The Windsor Great Park.
Situated near the River Thames, local attractions include the gardens at Virginia Waters, Savill Garden and the Magna Carta tea rooms at Runnymede.
Other places of interest include the historic town of Eton and the racecourses at Ascot and Windsor.

Recruitment has been difficult
What has been your biggest career highlight to date?
My home was a finalist in the National Dementia Care Awards in 2017, 2018 and 2019. I achieved two outstanding ratings in 2014 for care and well lead.

I like shopping, eating out and travelling

I enjoy developing the service for staff/residents to have a positive outcome in their home/work life. This is where I live
