45 years’ service is celebrated at Shipdham Manor

At Healthcare Homes we are delighted to have staff who chose to stay working with us for a number of years and 45 years’ service at Shipdham Manor in Norfolk was celebrated recently.

Chief Executive Gordon Cochrane presented gifts and certificates to Patricia Binks for a fantastic 25 years and Rebecca Allen and Lauren Huggins for a total of ten years each.

Patricia Binks is a team leader at the home and invaluable support for the Home Manager having stepped up when the manager was on maternity leave.

Head of Care Jessica Turner said, “Trish has developed herself and is always eager to learn and has increased her skills greatly since being in the team leader role, especially on the computer side of things.

“Trish also does senior care roles, and leads and manages her team with a lot of support for everyone. She’s always willing to help across all departments and will get herself stuck in with whatever task is set to her.”

Rebecca – known as Bex – is a housekeeper at Shipdham Manor and she also does senior care night shifts while Lauren is a senior carer.

Jessica added, “Bex and Lauren are both hardworking and invaluable members of our team.

“Bex always brings new ideas to help the home run smoothly and has implemented new structures within the domestic team to promote team working.

“Lauren is always ready to take on new ideas and helps implement these within her team. She is very hardworking and eager to help where possible.“
