Residents and staff at Albany Care Home, are preparing for a heartwarming celebration as they come together to mark a very special occasion. Yoko, a much-loved resident at Albany, recently received wonderful news—her son, Haro, is getting married to his fiancée in Japan this spring.
While the long-distance travel means Yoko is unable to attend the wedding in person, the team at Albany is ensuring she doesn’t miss out on the celebrations.

Yoko enjoying a glass of bubbly to celebrate the news
In true Albany spirit, the care home will be hosting a special wedding celebration party for Yoko and her family, allowing them to share in the joy of this milestone together. To mark the announcement, Yoko and her friends at Albany raised a glass of bubbly, toasting to the happy couple’s future.
Home Manager, Lynn Gray, said: “It’s so important for our residents to feel connected to their loved ones, even when distance is a challenge. We’re delighted to bring the wedding celebrations to Yoko so she can share this special moment with her family and friends.”
Plans for the event are already underway, and the team is looking forward to making it a truly memorable occasion for Yoko and her loved ones.
