Burns Night celebrations

Burns Night was celebrated by residents and staff at homes right across the Healthcare Homes Group.

At Barking Hall near Needham Market, staff arranged for props and accessories for people to wear, including tartan sashes, and arranged a great social evening, with Scottish-themed food and drink.

The team at The Chase in Watford hosted the last of their January’s afternoon teas with a Scottish theme on their second floor. Everyone enjoyed a sing-along with Scottish songs and a themed dining experience.

In Woodbridge, Suffolk, the team at Haughgate House learnt some fun old Scottish sayings, had a themed quiz, a Scottish map game, fashioning their own kilts and sang some Scottish songs.

While at The Hillings in Eaton Socon, a Scottish quiz and bagpipe songs were arranged, along with the delights of a Scottish treat trolley and facts about Robert Burns. Well done to resident Rita, for winning the quiz!

Great fun was had by all. Many thanks to the activities team for making it such an occasion for residents.

Happy Burns Night to all!
