Our Area Manager, Ruta Starkute-Nahani, has successfully completed her MBA in Leadership Practice and is about to become the first level 7 apprenticeship graduate of the Healthcare Homes Academy.
Ruta, who has a degree in social work and began working for Healthcare Homes as manager of The Chase in 2018, always wanted to further her studies. When the opportunity came up to study for an MBA with the Open University as a Level 7 apprentice, she was delighted. Part of Ruta’s studies have focused on staff engagement and retention at The
Chase.
“It has been hard work and you have to make sure you dedicate time for study as well as your daily work. This hasn’t been easy, particularly as we have been going
through a pandemic as well,” she said. “I have received a great deal of support from the company, from my team and from my family. I am delighted to have
completed the MBA and I just have to finish the assessment to complete my level 7 apprenticeship. I would urge anyone thinking about apprenticeships to
explore the possibilities.”
