Handford House celebrates Care Home Open Week

Handford House nursing home in Ipswich recently celebrated Care Home Open Week with a series of delightful activities, bringing joy and creativity to both residents and team. The week was filled with vibrant events designed to foster community spirit and highlight the exceptional care provided at Handford House.

 

 

Expressing creativity

 

Residents and staff enjoyed a variety of activities, starting with painting greeting cards, allowing participants to express their creativity through colourful and heartfelt designs. Gardening enthusiasts also had the chance to plant tomato plants, adding a touch of green to the home’s surroundings and promoting a sense of accomplishment.

A highlight of the week was the creative session with HR Director Sam Dixon, Head of Learning and Development Fran Brett, and Marketing Executive Joanna Hall. Their involvement brought an extra layer of excitement and connection, showcasing the strong bonds within the Healthcare Homes community.

 

 

The celebrations culminated in a special moment as Sam and Fran had the honour of presenting a Long Service Award to Miheala, celebrating her 5 years of dedicated service. This award is a testament to Miheala’s loyalty to providing exceptional care, making a significant difference in the lives of its residents.
