Healthcare Homes donates £1,500 to The Rob George Foundation

Healthcare Homes is pleased to announce a donation of £1,500 to The Rob George Foundation, a charity nominated by the employees, who support young people with life-threatening or terminal illnesses, as well as those demonstrating exceptional talent in sports or the performing arts but facing financial barriers.

A meaningful donation

The donation was presented to Philip George from The Rob George Foundation by Emma Couldrey, Head of Human Resources, and Matt King, Chief Finance Officer at Healthcare Homes. The handover took place on 3rd July 2024, highlighting a significant moment of support for the charity’s ongoing mission.

Established in memory of Rob George, who passed away at the age of 21 on 9th December 2013 after a brave battle with leukaemia, The Rob George Foundation aims to honour his legacy. The charity provides practical and financial assistance to young individuals facing severe health challenges and supports those striving to overcome financial obstacles to pursue their talents in sports or the performing arts.

Thanks and appreciation

Philip George was visibly moved by the donation, saying, “We can’t thank you [Healthcare Homes] enough. £1,500 is a huge help. This will directly benefit three young people who really need it.”

Emma Couldrey expressed her support, stating, “Healthcare Homes is honoured to contribute to The Rob George Foundation and support its vital work. Rob’s story and the Foundation’s commitment to aiding young people are truly inspiring. We hope this donation will assist in continuing their important mission.”

Matt King added, “We are proud to support The [Rob George] Foundation in making a positive impact. We remain committed to supporting charitable causes that make a real difference in people’s lives.”

An important cause

The donation will enable The Rob George Foundation to continue its impactful work, providing essential support to those in need. The Foundation’s efforts not only assist young people battling life-threatening conditions but also enable talented individuals to pursue their dreams despite financial constraints.
