Hillcroft House celebrates a Good rating from Care Quality Commission

Residents, families and staff at Hillcroft House care home in Stowmarket are celebrating the home’s ‘Good’ ranking in its most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Hillcroft House, run by care provider Healthcare Homes, was praised by the social care watchdog for being kind and caring, meeting peoples’ needs, as well as ensuring residents are safe and happy.

The unannounced inspection, which took place this month rated the home, in Finborough Road, Stowmarket as ’Good’.

In line with new CQC procedures introduced in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, infection control and prevention measures were also inspected to ensure the home is able to prevent or manage any infection outbreak.

New Home Manager Jan Heti said, “We’re delighted to have received a ‘Good’ overall rating which reflects the hard work and care every member of my team demonstrates every day here at Hillcroft House.”

Healthcare Homes CEO Gordon Cochrane added, “The health and wellbeing of our residents is always our primary concern and, as an operator with a strong track record in care quality, we are delighted that Hillcroft House has been recognised by the CQC inspectors as a ‘Good’ home.

“We are enormously proud of the hard work and commitment of the teams across all of our homes who have delivered great care to our residents through an extended period of very challenging conditions caused by the Covid epidemic as well as a sector-wide staffing shortage.”

Hillcroft House is part of Healthcare Homes family of 48 care homes and 11 homecare branches. The company has recently been named in the Top 20 care home groups for the seventh year in a row by independent review website carehome.co.uk. Hillcroft House has a 9.8 out of 10 score on carehome.co.uk
