Ian takes the reins at Manorcourt Homecare

Healthcare Homes are delighted to welcome Ian Hadingham as Operations Managing Director – Manorcourt Homecare.

Ian joins the business bringing with him a wealth of experience, having most recently been Group Director of Live In Care with City & County Healthcare Group. He previously worked as Operations Director with MiHomecare and as Care Delivery Director with Allied Healthcare.

Welcoming Ian to the group, Chief Operations’ Officer of Healthcare Homes, Helen Gidlow said, “We are delighted to welcome Ian on Board, we have a great business in Manorcourt Homecare with amazing teams working across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. The business has a proud heritage stretching back 30 years. Appointing Ian is a demonstration of our commitment to grow both our home care and our live in care services, both within their current footprints and beyond.”

Ian is currently visiting each of the Manorcourt Homecare branches getting to know the teams, their services and their customers.

Commenting on his new role, Ian said: “My number one priority is to ensure that we continue to deliver high quality and safe care. A big part of that is making sure we can attract sufficient staff with values that match those of our existing teams. We serve both those who pay for their own care at home, and the Local Authority commissioners who procure care locally. Both deserve the best we can deliver.

"Attracting, developing and retaining high calibre management teams,  front line carers and branch support staff is critical to our future success. The challenges of the employment market are very well known but we are confident that our longstanding reputation and commitment to offering careers for new joiners - and not just jobs - will help us.”

Ian has significant experience within both the retail and care sectors. He  knows how important having career development opportunities is having worked  for 25 years with British Home Stores working his way up from a Saturday job in his local store to senior management.

In his new role at Healthcare Homes, Ian will focus on growing the group’s homecare and live-in care businesses.

“Whilst we will continue to expand our services in the areas that we currently operate, we will also be extending into new areas. I am particularly keen to work in partnership with our care homes providing a choice of care pathways to those needing care. Some people may be struggling to cope at home but may not yet be ready to move to a care home. We can help them cope for longer in their homes with homecare and live-in services whilst also offering the option of residential or nursing care when the time comes”

In his spare time Ian, enjoys spending time with his family. He is also a football supporter with a season ticket for Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club.

Healthcare Homes is a leading provider of care services with 48 care homes spanning the East and South of the UK alongside it’s 11 branch Manorcourt Homecare network which serves Norfolk, Essex and North-East London. Manorcourt Homecare currently delivers around 15,000 hours of care for people in their own homes.
