Christmas Companions

Spreading joy through handwritten letters this festive season

Our Christmas Companions campaign brings residents from different Healthcare Homes’ care homes and home care branches together through a festive letter exchange.

Throughout December, Healthcare Homes’ residents have been paired with someone from another home or branch and invited to share handwritten messages filled with memories, traditions and personal Christmas stories.

The initiative was created to help ease loneliness at Christmas, giving older adults the chance to connect, reminisce and form new friendships by sharing their fondest memories of the festive season.

Christmas Companions highlights how small acts of connection can make a big difference, bringing warmth, community and companionship to the festive season.
