It was red, white and blue for everyone at Barking Hall in Suffolk in honour of the Coronation and plenty of Union flags were waving for both King Charles III and in recognition of VE Day.
Residents at the home in Barking enjoyed watching the Coronation with a buffet prepared by the kitchen team and then took part in a singalong and VE day celebration on Bank Holiday Monday.
There have been lots of great activities taking place throughout our homes with making crowns and bunting to decorate the homes as well as garden parties, cream teas, royal lunches and a good singalong.
Barking Hall nursing home is surrounded by stunning scenery and gardens. Once part of the stables of a much larger estate, it is beautifully tranquil, set on the edge of the hamlet of Barking next to the busier town of Needham Market.
