Congratulations go to the team at Avon Lodge Care Home in Bristol following a successful interim inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The inspection, which took place in January as part of CQC’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic praised good practice, including correct use of PPE, excellent standards of cleanliness and infection control and clear guidance for all visitors to the home.
Residents and relatives praised the home as ‘warm’ ‘caring’ ‘loving’ and with excellent staff.
Located in Kingswood, Avon Lodge provides nursing, dementia, residential and respite care to up to 62 residents. Avon lodge is rated as Good overall by the CQC in all five categories – safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
