Joyce Newstead celebrates her 101st birthday at The Manor House

 

Joyce Newstead has celebrated her 101st birthday at The Manor House in North Walsham, where she has become a much-loved member of the home’s community.

Born in Salhouse, near Wroxham, Joyce has spent her life in Norfolk.

She moved to The Manor House at the age of 98 and has since become an active part of life at the home.

Since arriving, Joyce has enjoyed taking part in activities and spending time with fellow residents.

She has also become a familiar face to the team at The Manor House.

For Joyce, making the most of life comes down to a simple approach.

She believes in making the best of each day and treating other people with kindness and fairness. Her advice is something she has followed throughout her life:

 

“Treat people how you want to be treated – and just get on with it.”

 

Residents and staff at The Manor House celebrated Joyce’s 101st birthday with her, marking the milestone together at the home.

The Manor House is set in 18 acres of gardens and woodland in North Walsham. The home has a strong connection with the local community, with many residents having lived in North Norfolk for much of their lives.

 

Since moving to the home three years ago, Joyce has settled into life at The Manor House. She enjoys taking part in activities with other residents and being part of the community.

The team at The Manor House would like to wish Joyce a very happy 101st birthday.
