Betty celebrates her 93rd birthday with a handmade birthday cake specially prepared by Tenchley Manor’s chef.
Residents and staff at Tenchley Manor in Selsey came together to celebrate Betty’s 93rd birthday with a homemade cake specially prepared by the home’s chef.
The team gathered to sing “Happy Birthday” before revealing a surprise that made the occasion even more special.
Staff had arranged a video call with Betty’s son, John, giving the pair the chance to see each other and share a special moment despite being apart.
Seeing John’s smiling face on screen after spending time away from him brought Betty immense joy and created an emotional moment for everyone involved.
The special birthday celebration highlighted the importance of maintaining family connections and the positive impact they can have on residents’ wellbeing.
