Oaktree Celebrates “Good” CQC Rating Following Latest Inspection

Oaktree Care Home in Yate, is celebrating after earning a ‘Good’ rating across all areas in its latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection. This well-deserved recognition highlights the hard work and dedication of the team at Oaktree, who provide residential, nursing, and dementia care in a modern, purpose-built home on the outskirts of Bristol.

The inspection, carried out in October 2024, praised the home for its consistently high standards in key areas: Safe, Effective, Responsive, Caring, and Well-Led. Inspectors were impressed by the warm, welcoming atmosphere, robust care systems, and the positive feedback from residents and their families.

The report gave special mention to the care team’s commitment—many of whom have been part of Oaktree for years—and the variety of engaging activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities. Recent improvements to the dementia care unit and the team’s proactive approach to infection prevention and control were also highlighted as standout features.

Pam Arnsmeyer, Oaktree Care Home’s manager, couldn’t be prouder of the team’s efforts. She shared:

“We’re absolutely thrilled to have achieved a Good rating across the board. My team is incredibly passionate about their work, and it’s so rewarding to see that recognised.”

Residents and families spoke highly of their experiences, noting they felt safe, supported, and cared for. Staff were described as approachable, skilled, and attentive, and residents enjoyed delicious, high-quality meals alongside personalised care.
