Hillcroft House welcomes Cathrine Arbon as new home manager

Hillcroft House is proud to announce that Cathrine Arbon has joined as its new Home Manager. Cathrine brings extensive experience in nursing and care home management, alongside a strong commitment to delivering compassionate, person-centred care.

Cathrine began her nursing career at the age of 36. She trained at UCS in Ipswich after gaining hands-on experience as a nursing assistant at West Suffolk Hospital. Early in her career, she worked as a link nurse, visiting care and nursing homes in Suffolk. This role inspired her passion for the care sector and shaped her vision for enhancing residents’ lives.

“I’ve always loved supporting residents in their day-to-day lives,” Cathrine said. “Each resident has their own story. Helping them achieve their goals and continue experiencing new possibilities is incredibly rewarding.”

Cathrine previously held her first managerial role with Healthcare Homes. She feels excited to return, as the company’s values of respect, dignity, and community align perfectly with her own.

“I truly care for everyone in my home- the residents, their families, and the staff I work alongside,” she added. “It’s an honour to lead the team at Hillcroft House, and I feel very blessed to be here.”

Building relations

Under Cathrine’s leadership, Hillcroft House will focus on building strong relationships with residents, their families, and the local community. The home will introduce engaging events and activity programmes to foster connection and a sense of belonging.

“My vision for Hillcroft House is to help residents continue living life to the fullest, achieving their goals, and enjoying new experiences,” Cathrine said. “When a team feels supported and happy, residents experience that same care and warmth. It forms the foundation of everything we do.”

Cathrine is known for her supportive and fair leadership style. Outside work, she enjoys baking, gardening, horseback riding, and spending quality time with family and friends.
