The Chase care home supports Macmillan Cancer Support

The Chase nursing home in Watford, part of the Healthcare Homes group, successfully held a fundraising event in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Community involvement

The event brought together staff, residents’ families, and the wider community in a joint effort to raise funds for a vital cause. Organised by The Chase’s dedicated activity team, with the invaluable support of local police officers PC Denisa and PCSO Sadqain, the event ran smoothly thanks to their generous contributions of time and energy.

Funds for Macmillan

The Chase is delighted to announce that a total of £323 was raised, with all proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support. These funds will provide crucial services for those affected by cancer, including medical advice, emotional support, and financial guidance.

Reflecting on the event

Naz Mani, Activity Lead at The Chase, commented on the success of the event:
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who participated in this event. The turnout was fantastic, and the generosity we witnessed was truly amazing. A special thank you to PC Denisa and PCSO Sadqain for their support in helping run the event and taking the extra step to register staff bicycles, which further strengthens our community’s safety.”

Fundraising

The fundraising was part of Macmillan’s nationwide Coffee Morning initiative, and The Chase is proud to have seen such active involvement from staff, residents’ relatives, and community members alike. They have made a meaningful contribution to supporting families and individuals affected by cancer.
