Apex hero Emma is positive and upbeat

Healthcare Homes colleagues were delighted to get together at a company conference and awards last week to recognize staff and teams who work throughout our family of 48 homes and 11 homecare branches.

And whilst it was recognized that every health and social care employee is undoubtedly a hero, and every Healthcare Homes team was awarded an Inspirational Team of the Year Award, managers had also been asked to recommend individuals for the Hero Awards 2022.

Emma Rogers is an integral member of the resourcing team at Apex, Colchester which is home to support services for Healthcare Homes, and she is a huge support to her colleagues. She is one of 24 individuals who were honored with a Hero Award.

Emma works tirelessly to ensure candidates and those she supports in our homes receive the best possible service. She is approachable, reliable and has a calm disposition. Despite the ongoing workforce challenges our industry faces, Emma always has a positive approach and remains upbeat.

During the pandemic, Emma’s commitment and determination was commendable. She adjusted to the ever changing situation and supported her fellow team members throughout.

Emma’s line manager said of Emma….. ‘A well respected member of the team by her peers and colleagues, a consistent performer and someone I am proud to have in my team’

Gordon Cochrane, chief executive officer, told the audience, “ I’m delighted to say that we were inundated with nominations for people that managers wanted to be recognized as absolute stars, the backbones of our homes and branches, the heroes we simply cannot do without and Emma is one of those heroes.”
