New Manager Appointed at Barking Hall Care Home

Healthcare Homes is delighted to welcome Anna Swed as the new manager at Barking Hall. With more than a decade of experience in social care, Anna brings a wealth of knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a clear focus on providing high-quality, person-led care.

Anna’s career began in 2017 as Deputy Manager at Runwood Homes, followed by a managerial role at De Vere Care, where she stayed until 2021. Most recently, she worked as a Registered Manager for Anchor, where she led a care team dedicated to delivering compassionate and effective support.

With a specialism in residential care and a background in supporting people with emotional and behavioural needs, Anna is highly experienced in managing teams within the Social Care Common Inspection Framework. She holds an NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care and is committed to maintaining excellent care standards.

Speaking about her new role, Anna said:
“I’m pleased to be joining the team at Barking Hall. The home has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and I’m looking forward to working alongside staff, residents, and families to continue delivering compassionate care.”

Barking Hall is located in a quiet spot on the edge of the hamlet of Barking, near Needham Market. Once part of a grand estate, the home now offers a peaceful setting with beautifully kept gardens. It currently holds a ‘Good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission and a five-star food hygiene rating – both a reflection of its ongoing commitment to quality and comfort.

We’re confident Anna’s experience and dedication will be a great asset to Barking Hall. Her approach to holistic care – supporting residents’ spiritual, emotional, and social wellbeing – fits perfectly with the home’s ethos of helping people live meaningful and fulfilling lives.
