Beaumont Park Care Home in Biggleswade is pleased to announce it has been rated ‘Good’ overall in a recent assessment carried out by PAMMS (the Provider Assessment and Market Management Solution), with several areas highlighted as ‘Excellent’.
Inspectors praised the team for delivering compassionate and respectful care, and for creating a supportive and inclusive environment where residents are treated with kindness and as individuals. One of the standout comments noted: “People are not discriminated against, are treated as an individual and their diversity is respected… People are treated with kindness, compassion and empathy.”
The assessment also showed that team members have a clear understanding of each resident’s individual needs and communicate in a supportive and straightforward way. Observations revealed care workers providing reassurance and encouragement while helping residents with their daily activities. Inspectors praised the respectful manner in which care was given, alongside the positive feedback from residents and their families. This reflects our commitment to person-centred care, where every individual is treated with kindness and respect, and their unique preferences are always at the heart of what we do.
Activities and wellbeing at Beaumont Park were also recognised as a key strength. Activities Coordinator, Barabra Sawaryn, works closely with residents to organise a lively and varied programme, including quizzes, bingo, themed events, armchair exercises, coffee mornings, and visits from entertainers, churches and local schoolchildren.
Animal visits – from rabbits and reptiles to Shetland ponies – were also mentioned, along with the home’s thoughtful approach to personal interests. For one resident with a passion for history, the activities team arranged a visit from a local historian to speak about the area’s past. For those who are cared for in bed, regular one-to-one activities are arranged, with daily records showing the support provided. A visual activities planner is also displayed in the home, and each resident receives their own copy.
Beaumont Park’s Manager, Tryness Tshuma said, “We’re proud of the outcome of this assessment and even prouder of the team who’ve made it possible. Their commitment, warmth and genuine care for the people who live here shines through every day. It’s wonderful to see that recognised.”
The home remains fully committed to maintaining and building on this high standard of care. The team will continue to listen, adapt, and work closely with residents and their families to ensure the home remains a place where people feel safe, valued, and genuinely cared for.
The team at Beaumont Park would also like to thank residents, families and colleagues for their continued support and positive feedback – including the many kind reviews and thank-you cards shared with them.
