Overbury House in Wroxham, has received a ‘Good’ rating following its most recent PAMMS (Personalised Assessment and Management of Services) inspection. The report highlighted the home’s person-centred approach and the strong relationships staff build with residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.
Overbury House in Wroxham, Norfolk passes its PAMMS inspection with a ‘Good’ rating.
One particularly touching example from the inspection reflected the dedication of the team:
“Staff knew the life history of residents, introducing them and what’s important to them. Staff were observed to knock on bedroom doors prior to entering, and rooms were decorated with personal artefacts. One resident had a photo album full of pictures from their childhood and stories of where they grew up. Staff had visited the area in their own time to take photos and add in stories shared by the resident over the years. The resident was unable to express how they felt about their album, but the smile on their face was all the feedback needed.”
The report also recognised how the team consistently treats residents with dignity and respect:
“Staff spoken with were able to give examples of how they treat individuals with dignity and respect.”
Alison Hilditch, Home Manager at Overbury House, expressed her pride in the team:
“We are absolutely delighted with this ‘Good’ rating from PAMMS. It reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff, who go above and beyond every day to provide the best possible care. It’s fantastic to see their efforts recognised, and we will continue striving to maintain and build on these high standards.”
The inspection also praised the way staff provide comfort to residents who may be feeling distressed, with a calm and empathetic approach that visibly improves their wellbeing.
