Maynell House Residential Home is delighted to share the news that it has achieved a ‘Good’ rating in all five categories in its latest inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
This recognition from the care industry regulator highlights the compassion and commitment of the team at the Felixstowe home and the provision of great care in a safe and well-managed home for residents.
Home Manager Leanne Greeves said, “The care at Maynell House is second to none. Staff provide reassurance to residents, and every team member is focussed on providing a high standard of care every day. We are delighted that this has been recognised by the CQC inspection team.”
She added, “Maynell House is a lovely home where there is always something going on. Our activities team work hard to get to know each resident really well so that we can be sure that everyone has something at the home they can truly enjoy.”
The team at Maynell House is dedicated to maintaining its high standards and continually improving the quality of care provided. The home has an excellent reputation and is a recognised part of the local community, participating in both the recent Open Gardens event for charity and having a float in the town carnival. Residents have regular outings to local places of interest as well as welcoming groups from around Felixstowe into the home.
Maynell House provides residential and respite care to elderly people living in Felixstowe. The home is warm and welcoming – a late Victorian Listed building, formerly Felixstowe college, which has been lovingly extended and refurbished to showcase its original features.
