Foxgrove and Maynell House residents enjoying their day trip to Dobbies Garden Centre

Residents from Foxgrove and Maynell House in Felixstowe recently enjoyed a day trip to Dobbies Garden Centre.

Both homes organised the visit to bring residents together for a relaxed morning in the spring sunshine. After arriving by minibus, the group settled into the café for scones and coffee.

They then took their time exploring the garden centre. Residents browsed plants, admired colourful spring displays and looked at ornaments and gifts.

Importantly, the trip strengthened connections between residents from the two neighbouring homes.

It also supported the homes’ focus on maintaining community links and encouraging social opportunities. Staff and volunteers accompanied the group throughout the visit.

They provided support where needed and ensured everyone could take part comfortably.
