The Malthouse receives outstanding quality report from Dorset Council

The Malthouse in Gillingham has been awarded a shining review in its recent Quality Monitoring report from Dorset Council. The report highlights the exceptional care and commitment of the team at The Malthouse, reflecting a warm and supportive environment where residents feel valued, respected, and empowered. Dorset Council’s feedback described the monitoring visit as “extremely positive and proactive.”

During the visit, Dorset Council praised The Malthouse for its ability to create a “warm and homely atmosphere where residents were seen happy and content.” The management team was commended for being “welcoming and engaging,” ensuring that residents and their families enjoyed a comfortable, responsive experience.

Family members of residents also provided overwhelmingly positive feedback. One relative shared, “I am incredibly happy with the home and have no concerns. The staff are wonderful, and they provide excellent support to my mum.” This comment, along with others, highlighted the respectful and sensitive care provided, even for residents with specific needs, such as those with hearing impairments.

The report further acknowledged The Malthouse’s commitment to promoting independence and supporting informed choice for its residents. Residents are encouraged to exercise control over their routines and decisions, fostering a sense of autonomy and dignity.
